Instant Pot Hard Boiled Eggs

Description

Easy-to-peel perfectly cooked hard boiled eggs in the Instant Pot


Ingredients

6 large eggs (right out of fridge)

1 cup water (cold)


Instructions

Pour water into Instant Pot.  I use the 60 Qt Duo Instant Pot.

Set rack in pot and place eggs on top of rack.

Plug in Instant Pot and choose manual setting, hitting the minus (-) button until you get to “11” for 11 minutes.  Make sure your valve is set to “seal” and choose low pressure, not high pressure.

That is all you have to do to the Instant Pot.  It won’t seem like anything is happening and you might wonder if you should start pressing other buttons like “steam” or “meat,” etc.  But after a few seconds the pot will start to come up to pressure without you doing anything else, and the cooking will begin.

When the clock is at zero, release the pressure valve and pull up on it for quick release.  As soon as you are able to open the lid, do so and immediately transfer eggs to a bowl filled with cold water (it doesn’t have to be ice water).

Peel eggs when you are ready to decorate or otherwise use.
